Town Clerk

The Town Clerk's Office is responsible for maintaining the Town's official records and documents, and exercises responsibility for the operation of elections and the maintenance of election records, as well as the list of registered voters in the Town. We send out a yearly Census/Street Listing form and provide our Public Safety Departments with an up-to-date Street Listing of residential addresses. We issue Marriage Intention Filings, DBA certificates, and raffle permits, as well as certified copies of marriage licenses, birth certificates and death certificates. The Clerk's office provides information to and directs inquiries from government agencies and the general public.

The Town Clerk is elected by the voters for a three-year term; an Assistant Town Clerk may be appointed by the Town Clerk in writing for a term not to exceed the current term of the Town Clerk.
