The East Brookfield Water Department currently serves around 1,500 people through approximately 13 miles of water main, 620 service connections and 100 fire hydrants. Water is supplied by a 60ft deep gravel packed well equipped with a 60 HP vertical turbine motor that is located off of Podunk Road. The well pumps potable water to the 300,000 gallon storage tank located on Doane Avenue. The well provides up to 40 million gallons of water per year. 

The EBWD continuously strives to provide safe, clean drinking water to the residents of East Brookfield while staying in compliance with strict EPA and DEP guidelines. This is done by testing the water daily, monthly, quarterly and annually for multiple contaminants as required by state and federal regulations. The water department is staffed 7 days a week and responds to all calls and emergencies 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
