The police department proudly serves the residents of this rural community located about 14 miles west of the city of Worcester and 7 miles north of Sturbridge. Although the youngest and one of the smallest towns in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts this community is committed to providing for residential needs. Our location's easy access to the Massachusetts Turnpike and Routes 9, 20 and 49 make this area a prime target for increased residential as well as industrial commercial expansion.
In these times of troubling economy and world turmoil we must remain vigilant to threats on our finances as well as our personal safety. This is when a community relies heavily upon its law enforcement and the mission of this police department is to provide the residents with every service required to assist them to live safely and compete in this new environment.
