Mechanic Street Looking West

(Approximate) View of Mechanic Street looking west. Note the steeple of the Baptist Church in the background. Note the year on the roof of the house in the foreground, which is presumably the year of construction. That house, though greatly altered, still exists today, as does the brick building next door.

Sept 2005 The buildings in the foreground remain pretty much the same over the years. There has been homes built on the left side of the road and addition of many trees. This prevents the view of the Baptist Church as see in the distance on the above photo. The Post Office is just out of view to the right.
