Then and Now
Main Street Looking East

1910
(Approximate) A view of Main Street looking east. Note the gas lamps and the fire hydrant in the street, which was not yet paved! The people in front of what is now the Trolley Stop, are waiting for the Trolley to arrive. You can see a man with his luggage on the ground.

Sept 2005 The first 4 buildings in the photo have changed in their look, however still functions as a vital part of our town. About half way up the hill on the left is now the Lashaway Inn and was the location of the Lakewood House. The street remains the same with the exception of pavement and many more automobiles.
