Zoning Board of Appeals

The Board meets by appointment only in the
meeting room at the Memorial Town Complex. All
petitions are held in a public hearing on the
second Tuesday of the month, after proper posting
and notification of such posting.

The Zoning Board of Appeals is responsible for addressing issues that do not comply with the Town’s Zoning Bylaws. The Board derives its powers from Chapter 40A of the Massachusetts General Laws.

The Board is comprised of three permanent members and two alternates, all appointed by the Board of Selectmen for a one-year term.

Notice: All questions regarding the zoning
bylaws of East Brookfield must first be
directed to the Building Inspector (Zoning
Enforcement Officer).
